Rooms & Accommodation
Saint James Backpackers has 36 rooms including Standard Double Rooms, Standard Twin Rooms, and Triple Rooms, as well as shared dormitories for 4, 6, or 8 guests. Private rooms have no minimum age for children when accompanied by a paying adult, while shared dorms accept guests from age 5 with a parent or guardian. A refundable cash deposit of £10-£20 is required at check-in, and luggage storage costs £5 per day after check-out.
Dining
Breakfast is included from 8:00 am to 9:45 am and offers all-you-can-eat freshly made pancakes, eggs, cereals, toast, and juices. A free dinner is available for the first 30 guests who sign up each evening, serving meals such as spaghetti Bolognese, chicken curry, and vegan options. Guests can also use the shared kitchen to cook their own meals, equipped with two hobs, a microwave, and fridge freezers.
Entertainment & Activities
The communal lounge has an 85-inch UHD TV with cable, Netflix, and a PS5, plus board games and books. Daily activities include ping-pong tournaments, FIFA tournaments, Uno, Jenga, movie nights, and salsa dancing lessons. The garden patio houses a free gym with weights, and the hostel organizes live sports events and karaoke nights.
